The nights we spent where the dreams of us ascended into the heavens to penetrate the night sky to create sunlight, amazing is the transformation from irrelevance to a blessing just to become a pestilence. I guess my only lesson is to refrain from stressing about the many reasons why ur presence is void in my present. broken promises that u would be in my future turned to lies, lies that I analyze as the days that fly by turn back into nights. Lonely nights. The nights where I submitted to unconsciousness without ur body heat beside me. lost in the shots of liquor for comfort, and I just wanted u to find me. I lay lifeless in my haven forsaken, yet taken by the very being that’s left my world shaken. I’m left mistaken with the beliefs that u were perfect. My heart aching and I’m hating that I still feel u were worth it all. explanations I’ve been longing to hear that I never heard at all, things I want u to know I’m feeling, finding trouble trying to word it all. So to subdue I substitute. She’s laying next to me but she aint u. if only she knew, she was only helping me make do when she came thru. she just wants my affection, I just need her company. All she asks is my attention, she’s irrelevant, but I settle for her presence. my inhibitions remain unfulfilled when she leaves my home, because ur still gone.
